Background

Afilio is a Berlin-based company that provides digital solutions for life planning, legal security, and long-term care. The platform helps individuals and families manage essential documents such as living wills, power of attorney, and care directives — all in one place and legally compliant. In addition, Afilio offers guidance and services related to long-term care benefits in Germany, including simplified application processes and tailored support for caregiving relatives. With a strong focus on accessibility, trust, and transparency, Afilio aims to make complex life planning topics understandable and manageable for everyone.

As a UX Designer at Afilio, I worked across key product areas including insurance, long-term care, and estate planning. My responsibilities covered the full UX spectrum — from creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for digital services and features, to planning and conducting usability tests and user research using both qualitative and quantitative methods. I maintained a user-centered view on the overall product experience, ensured design consistency across teams, and provided feedback to continuously improve usability.

Additionally, I helped develop and manage wireframe-focused components within the design system, supporting scalable and coherent product development. For more details on my design contributions, feel free to reach out.
